CHRISTMAS BOX PROJECT

It’s that time of year again when we come together to help families in our community. Each holiday season, our staff at Southwest Iowa Families puts on a project known as the Christmas Box. Through this project, we match donors with families who need a little extra help this holiday season. The families served are a part of the Positive Family Program, a support program that connects with area families.

Through our services we are able to help parents be their children’s first teachers, and support the families in their time of need. Many of our families will be facing hardships this season as they may be out of work or managing higher expenses. We try to focus on the children with this project, and bring them a bright and happy Christmas. We believe all children should believe in the magic of Christmas.

This project is very close to our staff’s hearts and is greatly appreciated by our families. Please consider adopting a family in Page, Fremont, or Montgomery County. With your support as a donor, Southwest Iowa Families will be able to match you with a family. In the past, our donors have acted individually, with other family members or friends, or with their employers and coworkers. That is up to you.

If you are interested in being a donor for the Christmas Box this season, contact us at 712.542.3501. We will provide you with a family’s Christmas list.

The deadline for our agency to receive gifts/donations for the Christmas Box is Monday, December 12, 2016.
